The rains had finally come to his home, the land looked vibrant with the rich colors, the air held a lovely scent that reminded him of peace. Closing his eyes, he breathed deeply and sighed in utter contentment.
He felt Cattie stir a bit on his back and it caught his attention. He immediately turned his head and
"You doing alright Cattie?" "You seem a bit uncomfortable or agitated; you are moving quite a bit" he asked with concern in his voice.
Glancing down he noticed Mettie nestled up to his leg like usual. He chuckled softly. "How about you Mettie? You seem quiet as well, I am worried about both of you" his words were true. He adored his two companions very much; they were a part of him.
Keeping his eyes on Mettie he saw his nod a little and laid down at his feet, closing his eyes. "Looks like I am taking a nap to!" with that he tucked his legs beneath him after moving a little to his left to make sure there was plenty of room and not to disturb or accidently lay on Mettie. Giving a glance at Cattie who also had her eyes closed, he lowered himself carefully. The ground was wet and it felt good against his stomach and legs. He sighed again.
Settling himself he laid his head on his legs and closed his eyes. The world around him was abuzz with life as if the rains rejuvenated everything it had touched. His mind was seized on the noises he was hearing as he drifted off to their lullaby.
