It's no secret there are many denominations within the Church which is universally held together through the Holy Spirit.

I believe that no matter which denomination, so long as we believe that Jesus is the Son of God who lived, died, and rose again to redeem us from our sin, and we repent and believe in Christ's finished work on our behalf, confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, we are adopted sons and daughters into the family of God.
Romans 10:9-13
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; 13 for “EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.”

What denomination do you hold to if any?

So, I've loved Jesus for as long as I can remember. However, my church attendance and experiences growing up were kind of mixed and inconsistent.

My mother and father were not together. My mom ended up marrying my stepdad, who is a Celtic pagan. Never went to church. Not once. My father went on to marry my stepmom, who...at least wasn't Christian when I was growing up.

Occasionally, I went to a Baptist church with my paternal grandmother, and rarely with my father. My father had visitation rights for every other weekend, so I would visit him every other weekend, but going to church was rare. My stepdad's parents were Christian and members of the Brethren church, and when we would visit them, we would go to church on Sundays.

I much preferred the Brethren church services to the Baptist church services. I have a lot of experience in the Brethren denomination, and was even baptized into the Brethren denomination in that very church. I was even married in that church. heart

Despite going to church only on some occasions, I loved Jesus very much. I prayed regularly and read Scripture. It was mostly up to me to maintain my faith at home, though. This led to me having some theological ideas that were, at times, pretty unorthodox. But I believe that I have been Jesus' lamb...basically from the beginning. By the grace of God. Never perfect. But always with Him.

That being said, I consider myself non-denominational Protestant. But theologically, I lean Eastern Orthodox in many respects, while also being on the more liberal side.
