Sometimes Sailor Tempesti wished that Hildegard would appear on Earth. The odd little fairy chicken was a fun exploration buddy, but she missed the days when the wisp she’d been was around to play their little agility games. Hildegard was far more mischievous now that she’d taken a more defined form, but it would still be fun. At least they could play together on the homeworld. The sensation of a Chaos energy signature prickling at the edge of her mind drew her wandering thoughts back to the present. As much as she would enjoy her companion’s presence, this was a more pressing matter.

Honestly, Sappho was beginning to understand why she'd gone kind of underground for a while. Peeking out to be met with massive hostility was really starting to stress her out, and make her wonder if her "hiding in Mirrorspace building her pretty little garden" strategy wasn't way more viable than she'd thought. People were mean! For no reason! All the time! All she was doing was chilling (and maybe occasionally draining some energy) and she was being met with hostility after hostility.
Gross.
So this time, once again, when she felt an Order aura near her--this one distinctly stronger than her, yikes on bikes--she called back her Mirrorwraith, letting it tuck away so that it wouldn't be in any danger if this person was super against even the lightest of energy draining.
"Hi," Sappho called out cautiously, and she hoped this time it was less awkward and bad.

Following the sound of another young woman’s voice, Tempesti’s gaze landed on an unfamiliar senshi. A member of the Dark Mirror Court, if she wasn’t mistaken. The ones she’d encountered before hadn’t been hostile, the kid she’d met a few months earlier had even been a surprisingly pleasant ally against those less than friendly stonework monsters. She offered the stranger a reassuring smile and a small wave, after all there was no need to start things off on the wrong foot if she wasn’t there to fight. If she was, well, Tempesti could address that when the time came. “Hello!”She looked the Dark Mirror Senshi over, briefly admiring the violets that adorned her fuku. There were no violets in her own planters, but that didn’t stop her from enjoying them. “So, violets? The senshi approached casually, hoping not to spook the other woman. “They’re lovely! I’m a gardener, myself.” Her mind flitted briefly to the greenhouse in the Tower of the Winds before returning to Earth and she wondered if flowers could ever bloom on the stranger’s homeworld again.

Oh, good, okay, this was much better, Sappho liked the fact that she was not currently being harassed, harangued, insulted, or otherwise treated like she was unwelcome in polite society just because she wore black.
"Sappho of Violets, at your service, yes," she said, reaching up to pat the little assortment of flowers in her hair. "I don't garden much on Earth, but that's super cool."
Maybe she ought to, but she way preferred just cracking a crystal in her realm and getting instant flowers. Sooo much less effort.

“Tempesti, senshi of harpies. Nice to meet you.” She knew that the Dark Mirror Court still answered to Chaos, but she had yet to see any evidence that they were as hostile and violent as their Negaverse counterparts. Her interactions with them had been nothing but cordial. There was no way for her to approve of them siphoning energy from the unwilling, of course, but she’d rather they leave someone tired than dead. Asking a stranger whether or not they consumed starseeds would probably be rude, better to learn that from someone else, or maybe the Order database. “On Earth? Where do you garden?”She was fairly certain that Chaos opposed cultivation of life, so that would eliminate Sappho’s homeworld as a possibility and the Dark Mirror Court’s location was a mystery so there could be something there. “Well, there are classes for Earth gardening if you ever change your mind. Oh! And a ton of YouTube tutorials.” A smile crossed her face at the thought, wherever someone planted, gardening was good for the soul.

"Ooh, harpies? That's super cool." Sappho had found hat ancient mythology held a little more interest when you never knew what you might run into in the modern day, and sh she'd found herself reading up more often ever since she became a Senshi. "I bet your magic is awesome. And hey, you have that like...glowy stuff? How's that work?"
She'd seen a few people with it, but Sappho was never sure exactly what it meant because she had never really thought to ask anyone. It wasn't something she could do, but she did find herself intrigued by the prospect.
"And, uh, I don't really know if it counts as gardening because it kinda just magically happens, but," was this saying too much? Eh, she'd literally taken Ekstrom to her Realm, telling someone about it was hardly State Secrets, "we can access this sort of...space between mirrors? It's called, cleverly, Mirrospace, and within it is the Mirrorscape, where we can claim cool little magic islands and build them up into whatever we want. I've made mine into a park, kinda! I'm no good with real plants, though."

Tempesti looked at the glowing blossoms that wound their way up her arms, it had been less than a year but they felt as though they were part of who she had always been, evidence of her purpose as a steward of both of her homeworlds. She couldn’t help but wonder what the other woman felt about the world she’d left behind. Memories of Elysia’s life had been intrinsic to her development as a senshi and while she had no way of knowing how or if Dark Mirror Senshi got glimpses of their own past lives, the question of whether that would have any effect on Sappho’s feelings nudged the back of her mind. “I got these when I transcended. It’s like…a bond with my planet. My other planet, I mean. Earth is home, and I’ll protect it with everything I have, but so is Tempesti, if that makes sense.” She was reluctant to go into detail about the energies that enlivened that distant world, it would feel like an act of absolute disloyalty, but it wouldn’t hurt to tell her that little bit. Fascination bloomed within Tempesti as Sappho described her own home, she certainly understood the pride she heard in the other woman’s voice. Building a place of one’s own, that was something deeply satisfying. “It sounds lovely,” asking for details on the means by which they actually created these spaces felt like a sticky area, but that didn’t quash her curiosity. “Shaping something from…another dimension? Is that what it is? You don’t have to answer that if you don’t want to.”
