It’s not just one light, either; almost everywhere you go you can find some light repeating the pattern. Is something trying to send you a message? Could it be Morse Code, or something else? A coincidence? Either way, you can’t seem to decipher the message and it’s getting to you. Especially because no one else seems to notice it. Clue frowned as he stared outside of their apartment, looking at the lights that were on display around it. He was quietly sipping on some tea that had been made while he was looking outside of the window. Sure it had snowed and for the most part they had been able to stay inside and, at least until now, miss all of the magical shenanigans that usually went on at this time of year. But, he had been noticing something out of the corner of his eye, like the lights outside had been blinking, not randomly or in the usual patterns that were programmed in them. They were... different. But he couldn't say what they were doing since it only seemed to be when he wasn't looking straight at them. "You notice anything with the lights outside New?" He asked as he took another sip. If New saw the same thing, then he could at least say they probably weren't suffering under the same delusion and were totally sane.

Staying shut in this time of year hadn't been easy but it had worked out, they'd even managed to handle their jobs from home, it wasn't always easy but it was getting better. At least there was enough to do in the house, they'd both made sure of it, so they'd been able to avoid the winter chaos that they'd been hearing about on the news. Just yesterday the news had mentioned someone being stuck in snow...which wasn't snow, or rather it had been until it hadn't been.
Looking over to his partner, who was sipping tea and looking outside, he did worry that maybe they'd regret this all. Going back to his own cup of tea, and what he was working on, Boonnam's attention was grabbed by Clue when the other spoke up. "Hm?" Standing, slowly, and stretching as he padded over and peeked out over the others shoulder.
"The lights?" He questioned, assuming that's what his partner was looking at. Resting his chin on Clue's shoulder, taking a moment to nose at the side of his neck. "Mmm, they are pretty...if that's wha-oh." Looking long enough, in his opinion, he'd started to look away when he'd swear he saw something off about the lights. "That blinking...that's not nomal, right?"

Clue shook his head. "Not unless they're some of those... what are they? Programmable lights?" There were some houses that liked to make the lights on the houses move to music. Maybe it was something like that? He shook his head, taking another look at the lights and frowning. "At least it's outside. We've still managed to miss all of the commotion that tends to happen this time of year. So far."He moved his arm behind Boonam and started to rub his back. "I still think it was a good decision to stay inside. I'm sure we can get any information about what happened when we go back out to get some more energy." Or on the off chance they were called to the Mirrorspace. It happened sometimes, but lately it seemed it hadn't called any of them in a while. But maybe he was wrong.

"No, not even a programe would do that. The pattern isn't the same. But there is something there." Like that code people used, he couldn't honestly remember the name, to communicate over distances. "Could they be a message?" Turning his head away from the lights in order to look at his partner, questioning dark eyes meeting his partners equally dark eyes, he wasn't insane to think it was a message of some sort. In this city anything, that included, was possible and they both knew it.
"It is but it is a bit limiting in some ways. Once winter is passed though we'll go back out." Because they couldn't spend the rest of their lives as shut ins, and they weren't about to go moving out of this city either, they would need to get back to living as soon as it was safe to go outside again without the risk of winter getting them somehow.
"When did we want to chance a trip out for some energy gathering?" Because as much as they were determined to stay indoors this winter, and they really were making a go of it, they still had energy to gather and they couldn't do it from their appartment. "We'll need to figure that out because we're due to gather some." And he'd rather have a planned time for it, it made things easier.

"Maybe. We know aliens exist at least." He gave his partner a small smile. He nodded his head. "Of course. I don't want to be stuck inside forever until Spring." It was just so hard to go out and enjoy the city when all of your muscles and bones and everything else that made up the human body seemed to be stiffening due to the cold. He thought about the question for a moment. "I would say... a day when it's less windy or a day with snow. We won't be quite as cold if we don't have the wind blowing in our faces. If it snowed it seems like that's a little bit warmer. I don't know if there's something behind that." Maybe the snow absorbed some of the cold? Or maybe it was what caused snow to fall? He didn't know. "If you have any specific days you want to go out on that don't meet either of those conditions I'll go." Though he probably wouldn't be happy about it. Sometimes he wished the fur on his uniform was more cape-like so he could wrap himself in it for warmth.

"I think most people would agree that aliens exsist, just due to the odds of it, but to see proof...that is a stunning thing. I always knew aliens were real, it just made sense to me, but for them to actually be here on Earth. For them to not be looking to invade, like tv shows and movies say, it certainly throws a person off balance." To have the chance to walk up to an alien, to speak to them, it was all so hard to describe properly and yet he was sure Clue understood.
"Ok, we can do that, it sounds good to me. I don't mind snow as much as I dislike the wind. Snow on the ground is cold, of course, but if there isn't any wind involved it's somewhat tolerable. We could also get some more winter clothing on our next trip out." Since he really did not ike being cold.
"We could even just order things ahead of time and pick them up, make the time out in the cold quicker for us both." They were both from a country that was better known for it's heat than it's cold, he didn't do well with cold weather...especially not the cold weather experienced here in this counry and in this city.
