Silver Tongues (14) : What a shame, to open a book–an old favorite, an antique, something new–just to find the pages absolutely destroyed. A silverfish–or several–scurry away, so you know what caused the damage. But you don’t understand how. This isn’t just senseless, random destruction–if you look at the pages, they’ve chewed out messages. Maybe they’ve eaten the words right off the page, leaving only a few to spell out a cryptic message–or maybe they’ve eaten holes in the page to spell out something. It’s too precise to be random but it seems impossible, both for the precision and the intention. What kind of message could a bug want to leave you–and why?Today, Abramov was patrolling on his own - his twin and partner was stuck in Senior Classes - Anthropology - he cringed at the thought - he was not good with people. Abramov was about 1/2 hour into his patrol, when it took him past the Destiny City Library. There, he stopped and gaped in horror. Hundred of books were thrown out on the steps torn to pieces. Who could destroy a book? The moral value of a book? And whoever had done, had not only done it to one book, but hundreds. Suddenly a book slid out to his feet, on it's own. He could sense no Chaos around, so who...? He looked down at it, and several silverfish crawled and scattered... there seemed to be many carefully and detailed chews - "What the?" He was beginning to examine the damage - and the creepy message...

Lacaille had been out for a while and had come across a lot of weird stuff this season, this, this was going to haunt her dreams for a very long time as she came up on the library. A place that should have been a wonderful place of learning was now a place of horror. She wasn't really sure what was going on but she saw a figure and she was angry at first thinking they had done all this damage to the books. "How could you!!" She accused and then she saw the book move on it's own. "Huh?" She blinked confused as to what was going on this made no sense. Unless they had a really weird power that made books crawl away.

MiddyGlow I apologize for the wait. Been trying to improve my rl, and it leaves me physically injured and sick. I will do my best to get the roleplay done in time. Abramov was too shocked to do anything but stare at the book and the silverfish, he didn't even process the other Senshi running up to him and accusing of doing it - hmm she stopped at him, and then he looked up mouth still agape - responded, "I believe this library has far more than a minor bug problem." He frowned, "Formal greetings will have to wait, you may call me Abramov." Then he proceeded to show her what he'd been studying.

She nodded to the figure and said "I'm sorry Abramov, this is just horrifying. I'm Lacaille." She said quickly and then went to try to save some of the books. It was likely they were already destroyed but she would do what she could. She wondered if it was possible to gain magic to heal books. At this point it seemed more likely they would have to drive the bugs away from the library as best they were able.

"It's fine, Lacaille. I afraid we may have a bigger problem." He gestured at the words that had been chewed out, and to the words left. HUMANS GET OUT! WE ARE SILVER TO YOUR WEREWOLF TENDACIES! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Lacaille frowned at the message "Well that is creepy as hell but I don't know if there is any way to actually stop them and if we hang out here too long someone might see us and call the police." She didn't want to leave she wanted to find a way to save the books but she just didn't know how or if there was actually a way to save them from these horrible bugs that were destroying everything and claimed to be the silver to their werewolf. Perhaps that meant that were at least collecting information on what they were eating.

Abramov, frowned, then nodded, then paused. "I think I have an idea.. you'd better plug your nose.." Abramov pushed his kimono sleeves up as if he were about to garden, raised his hands and arms as if he was going to push something backwards, and yelled, "Disgusting Rafflesia!" Sailor Scout Attack: Disgusting Rafflesia This Odor is so noxious that it does a number on the concentration of the target. Slight nausea, loss of concentration are key symptoms of this attack. 3 uses. 5 foot diameter range. 10-15 Seconds. Red-purple fumes seem to appear and were headed toward the Library ...Then suddenly.... The biggest flock of silverfish came flying out gasping and sputtering. Abramov frowned.. "That's... a lot ... of Silverfish.."

Lacaille cocked her eyebrow and did as she was told unsure what the other person planned to do but she figured it couldn't get much worse so she was willing to try anything to save the books. Lacaille continued to hold her nose as she watched. Her voice sounded off when she said. "Oh wow, that is crazy." She watched as the swarm started to flee from the scent. "Looks like you were able to save the books after all, thank you." She said warmly. She sighed as the scent of Abramov's attack faded away. "Your attack has quite the effect." She said, smiling.

Abramov bowed his head, as he blushed at the compliment. "Ah, thank you.. I guess.. I think I'll take that as a compliment.." Then he did a little bow. "I am Sailor Abramov of Rafflesia... a pleasure to make your ... aquaintance.. Sailor Lacille...I presume...?" Now that he wasn't focused on battling - he felt kinda awkward... He had never been good around other people...

Lacaille smiled, and she nodded, "Yes, I am the senshi of books." She smiled again, "And you are of a very interesting plant, I love books as you can imagine, so studying is my thing, including the rainforest. I won't pry into your civilian life, but color me curious why the magic chose this for you." She said her tone was very curious, but it was considered wrong to figure out someone's normal life. After all she didn't want anyone to know she was Aurora Foxwell, who ran a bookshop.

Abramov frown again, as his cheeks burned even more. "It was the people Abramovian Homeworld who valued Rafflesia. - They used it to guard.... their cemetaries with the honored dead... my predecessors guarded those very graveyards.." Usually this was the point that other Senshi and Knights got creeped out and fled...His Senshi phone began to ring.. he went to answer it, looked down at the name - and saw that it was Giclas.... "Sorry it's my twin sister and partner, Sailor Giclas of Jasmine." Then he saw that it was just a text - she heard that a Youma was attacking the City Square near her school, and that she needed his help to battle it. His face flushed with worry - "She needs my help to fight a Youma -I've got to go!"

Lacaille was surprised by the answer she only nodded when they had to depart quickly. (Fin)
