Saisuke. Met in the backyard. Seems to think fences aren't all that great; From what I can tell, she dislikes wolves. She thinks they're bloodthirsty savages. Told her some aren't, but didn't get much of a response. Need to get to know better.
Suka. Met in the backyard. Was quite friendly, and showed me how to unlock the fence. Offered to take me to the forest, but I refused; i'm not ready to leave home just yet. Friend of Rayse's.
Rayse. Met in the backyard. Alpha of a pack in the woods. Let her inside the house, and she slept by the heater. Lena fed her, and Rayse seems to get along well with Lena. She regretted not being able to stay after being fed. Lena gave her a small crow's feather, and braided it into her neck fur.

Lena, n. (Lee-nah).
Lena's an eighteen year old girl, originally from Texas. Because of that, she's got a slight accent, and a drawl in her tone. She enjoys nature, hot chocolate, and music. She works for a Husky Training Program, bringing in new dogs for the other workers to train. The Huskies they train go to mail-runners and sport sledders. Through this program, Lena met Taci, and she fell in love with the femme at first sight. For more information, read the story below.

"She's beautiful..." Lena Johnson brushed a bit of hair from her face, kneeling down to stroke the dog's glossy fur. The man in the doorway nodded, then turned, closing the door behind him. He was a friend of Lena's. A worker in one of the nearby post offices, one that owed her a favor. She had used it a few days ago, when she had asked him to find a new femme for the Husky Training program. It was one of her many jobs; she was responsible for bringing in new dogs to train. They would go to the harsh, sled-driving owners that kept them in business. But... She hadn't expected such an amazing dog to come from that favor. Biting her bottom lip, Lena steeled herself, staring into the dog's beautiful brown eyes as she thought to herself.
Good God....
But she had a job to do. Her forehead wrinkled, she turned, choking back tears as she pulled a collar off the wall. The dog at her feet tilted her head, then pressed herself against said wall, staring warily at the collar in Lena's hand. Lena whimpered softly, then kneeled once more, slipping the collar over the wriggling female dog. She winced as the dog bit down sharply on her hand, but didn't pull away. Instead, she smoothed the femme's headfur down, a tear rolling down her cheek.
"I'm so sorry..." Lena whispered, her voice choked. The dog stared silently up at her, confusion clouding her eyes. Lena continued petting her fur, then hooked a leash to one side of the collar, gently removing her hand from the femme's mouth. She shoved the bleeding hand in her pocket, to stem the blood, then lead the female over to one of the cages in the corner and placed her inside. That done, she dabbed at her steadily flowing tears with her free hand, then stepped outside into the cold Alaskan air.

"I'll need you to sign here, and here... And here. Thank you, sir! Your patronage is greatly appreciated."
"Thank you." The voice that replied to the receptionist was loud and gruff. A hand, one belonging to the voice, grabbed the collar of the female dog and dragged the whining animal outside. The thick, heavy-set man had a team of fourteen dogs, ones that were lined up in rows of two. He unhooked one of the other dogs and lead it to the front, then began hooking the female into its place. He paused, however, as a cough at his side interrupted him. When he turned, all he could see was a tall figure, dressed completely in black. The man snorted, and continued hooking the femme into the sled-line.
"Whatdyer want, eh? I'm busy!"
"I'll buy that dog from you." This human's voice was soft and low. The man with the dogs quirked one brow, then shook his head.
"This is a prime animal right here. I paid a lot for 'er! I ain' sellin'!" The man snorted, then finished locking the femme into the formation, when he heard a soft clink. He looked over, and stared at the small bag on the ground.
"Open it." The stranger's voice commanded. The thick man did, and gaped at the small pile of gold rocks inside. Silently, he unhooked the female from the formation, slipping a chain around her neck and handing the chain to the stranger. The stranger smirked, then bowed, stepping away from the sled with the female dog. The stranger stepped into a small alleyway, then pulled her hair from her hat, rubbing the back of her neck.
"I'm glad I got you out of there." The stranger, aka Lena, grinned down at the female dog. The dog lowered her head, growling dangerously, but calmed as Lena ran a hand down her back.
"Let's go home... No collars this time, I promise." Lena removed the chain leash and collar, and tossed them to the side. The dog stared at her for a moment, then placed her head on Lena's leg, looking pleased. Lena rubbed the area where the collar had begun to bite into the dog's neck, her heart soaring. Then, cupping her new dog's chin with her hand, she stared into those beautiful brown eyes of hers, and murmured her name softly.
"Fireweed's Golden Tassel... Taci."
