Yua had been up most of the night, pacing back and forth and back and forth. It was an old habit, thus it wasn't dying at all, but at least something, as of late, had been feeding the poor habit. Not like drugs or anything else. Moreso, Yua normally stayed up at night only because he was accompanied by a female. He'd been that way with his sisters, his mother, his friend Tailsin, and even with Tui, despite how..... er... 'close'... they'd grown.

Indeed, they'd gotten rather close and, in Yua's opinion, it had kinda messed up the 'alone time' a bit when he'd noticed something was up with her, but being an ignorant male who wasn't trained in the ways of female behavior, had been unable to guess at -what-.

Even a little hinting hadn't worked on him until the woman had come out and said it. That's what kept him up now, pacing back and forth and back and forth.

Fretting, concerned over if he'd be a good father, and many other things, those two just being the tip of the iceburg for him.

User ImageTui was laying down, her stomach growing everyday. She shared in some of her... 'friend's' worries, but she was also happier than she ever imagined she'd be at this news. Latley she had been feeling the little cubs kicking, and it was the strangest sensation for the lioness.

Watching Yua pace back and forth, a small smile crossed her lips. She knew he'd be a wonderful father, and that his worries were going to be proven wrong.

Standing up, with more than a little effort on her part, Tui walked over to him, sitting down. She looked up at the sky, the moon glowing bright above them. It was a beautiful night, but she hadn't even noticed it 'till then. "Yua, stop pacing." She said to him, not unkindly, a hint of amusement in her voice.

The halt was accompanied by a sort of 'irrk' noise as the ex-Ela looked to Tui, ears flattening back into his mane a bit, the entire motion full of pure awkward on his part. "I can't -help- it!" he said, but followed the advice quite readily, sitting down and leaning back. It was a partially habitual motion seeing as how many times he'd been tackled down by various others.

It as well made a good support for the one by his side if she wished to lean against him (which in all considerations, was probably a likely objective..).

"I mean. it's..bwuah....just.... GAAAH!" Yua lifted one paw, the un-marked one, to scruff at his mane a bit, seeming more than tense over the entire ordeal in and of itself. It -was- a new bit for him, afterall.

A bit you'll be stuck with FOREVER. his inner-mind reminded, and he winced. Yua looked to Tui, then at her belly, narrowing his eyes a bit to force some attempt at telling their aura-colors as he'd done for their mother a while before.

"It's a dark color.." he said out-loud, aware that he'd done this bit enough for her to know what it meant. "Probably a good variety if it darkens like that, there's no real 'dominant' shade either... again, probably good. Means we probably don't have an alpha-baby in there at this point in time."

Ah ha ha.....

Rochlos blade jerk to stop in mid air and fell to the ground in a lifeless clattered. Brom lowered his hand to his side and sighed greatly. "Raise my blade like before, to kill everything that is threatening. ...that my dear boy, explains everything." Brom was a flash that could not be seen as he took one step that closed the distance betweeen the two before Rouchlos could react. With a fistful of Rouchlos shirt in one hand and his blade resting gentle between Rouchlos eyes, Brom lifted the boy into the air so he could be level with his face.

"If, for one second, you thought that we, the resistance, simply fought to extinguish a threat,...then you are so wrong boy. The Varden was no such thing. We did not fight to kill or have pleasure." Brom threw Rouchlos to the ground, his body leaving a imprint in the ground, as he walked away towards the newly created hole in the wall. "You should learn that everything matters, not nothing. None of us fought to destroy a threat, that was your King agenda, not ours. We fought for the complete opposite reasons." Brom extended a hand to help him up the rubble remains of the wall and into the hole. "Everyone chooses their destiny, for better or for worst, but perhaps you should learn your opponents before judging them or making false impressions."

"....and that of your kings."

Yua's body stiffened a bit, out of habit of 'OMG female contact', when Tui leaned against him, despite that he'd known it was coming and that he was pretty-much going to have to get over it (god forbid if one of his kiddos be born afraid of women because of him!). Not that having Tui around was 'getting over it'. She was good company plus much much more.

He was just an awkward character was all.

"I don't think I'd be able to handle any psychos.." did he have any Psychos in the family? Yua couldn't recall any, but perhaps there was an estranged Uncle or a dead brother he didn't know about or..

BAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH.

It was almost enough to make him panic. Not that he hadn't panicked a lot already.

Leaning his head gently against hers, he sighed a bit, though the entire motion wasn't done in as fluid a way a lover-boy would have, despite him having such feelings. He had enough 'other' emotional blocks as it was, after all. "How are you feeling with them, by the way...? Are you well enough for a walk, or...?"

Yua wouldn't push it if she wasn't.

Tui giggled softly at his comment, and she thought to herself that any of them who turned out like Yua would be a blessing. She didn't speak the thought, she knew to hold her tongue with some things, since it would make him even more awkward feeling than she knew he already was.

Her ears flickered back and forth happily as she smiled and nodded at him. "Oh yes! I'm fine." She said honestly, she hadn't had any pains she could recall from the cubs, though she sure was getting fat. As she stood, her stuffed stomach almost dragged the ground, and she scowled at it. "I hope I don't stay like this after they're born..." She muttered, looking back over to Yua with an embarrassed smile. "Anyway, let's go." She said, always enjoying a moonlit walk through the savannah.

Yua looked down as Tui commented on her physique, keeping himself from making a horrified expression akin to 'HOW MANY ARE IN THERE', instead doing the smart 'man thing' and saying instead; "Would it matter if I didn't mind either way~?" Not to say he forced himself to say it, but moreso that his brain had voted it the smarter option out of all of the ones he had on hand.

But at least she was still able to walk as she was, which was even better to him.

Nuzzling her cheek, awkwardly still, he too rose up, cautious, almost as if fearing that anything he did would cause all the kids to explode out at once (oh dear lord, he could maybe handle two or three) and not in a pleasant way. Afterall, for them to explode out......

Yeah, he was gonna keep that to himself for now.

"Alright, but if you get tired, we're stopping wherever we are." he said, purring a bit, before starting to walk, slowly, but not -too- slow.

Tui smiled at his answer; so Yua, playing it safe. Especially when it came to emotions. She was glad he did though, and she smiled softly at him when he nuzzled her.

At his statement she chuckled, "Alright, alright. But I don't think I'll need to rest." She said, walking forward through the night, her tail still wrapped around his.

Tui's thoughts began to wander, and eventually landed on her family, like they usually did. She missed her entire family desperately, but especially her mother. She knew she would have to visit them again, and like her father, she wouldn't be returning home alone.

Trying to push them from her mind, she looked to Yua with a smile as they walked. "The sky is beautioful tonight." She spoke softly, her pale eyes drifting to the stars.
