Heya, heya.

I've been mulling over this for a while now, but I have finally decided to go ahead and do it. So, here it is, I am opening up an art shop.

So, here's the deal. I am currently selling custom graphics and NON-COLORED avatar lineart.

~What will I draw?~</center>
  • Your avatar in black ink on white paper. - NO color comissions at this time! Period.
  • Up to 2 avatars in one picture. - Pictures with more than one avatar are more expensive!
  • Both male and female avatars. - I can draw both sexes equally well.
  • A variety of poses. - Can do pretty much ANY pose you'd like.
  • Full body lineart - your avatar's entire body.
  • Some avatar edits - This is subject to my approval.
  • Head shots - shoulders, neck, and head of an avatar.

<center>**Your pic will then be scanned and electronically sent to you for you to do with as you please. Put it in your sig, put it in your thread, on your web site, I don't care. But PLEASE give me credit. Do NOT crop out or otherwise remove my signature or my other ID marks from your picture! If I find that someone is 'stealing' credit for my artwork, bad... BAAAAAD things will happen.**

~What do I need from you?~</center>
  • Payment. - Avatar LineArt prices are flexible, but here are some guidelines. The more complex the art, the more expensive it will be. I am open to discussion over prices, but I want to be paid at least my minimums I have listed.

    ~LineArt of one avatar - 2.5k and up
    ~LineArt of two avatars - 5.5k and up
    ~LineArt of one avatar edit - 3.5k and up
    ~LineArt of two avatar edits - 7.5k and up
    ~LineArt of one avatar head shot - 1.5k and up
    ~LineArt of two avatar head shots - 2.5k and up

    I expect competitive offers for my time and skills. ALL payments MUST be made BEFORE I begin drawing your art. No exceptions!

  • References. - I need screen caps of ALL avatars with ALL items that you want included in your picture. No screen cap, no picture. Post ALL screen caps here, do NOT PM them to me. Here is an example of what to do if you want an item that you don't own in your picture:

<center>**Example: If you want your avatar pictured wearing the newest donation item, but don't own it, can't borrow it, and the simulator doesn't have it yet, then take a screen cap of the newest donation item by itself and post it up along with the screen cap of your avatar wearing everything else.**

~About PMing me if you're NOT a customer~

Do NOT PM me with comission requests. EVER. EVER. If you want to request a comission, you MUST post it here in this thread. Unless I have accepted your request, then you really shouldn't PM me at all. Any info you need should be in this thread or you can post your question in this thread, and I will answer it here for you. The reason I don't want PMs is because (like I noted earlier) I run a HUGE, HUGE guild. My inbox is usually filled to the brim with PMs concerning my guild. So your PM would probably be lost in the sea of guild PMs and would most likely never be seen nor answered.

~About PMing me if you ARE a customer~

However, if your comission request has been accepted (ie: your name is on my customer list) then you can PM me. As a paying customer, you have a right to PM me when neccessary to ask about your picture. Plus I will remember your name and will notice it amoung my other PMs more easily than if you were just some random PMer. But I do ask that my customers give me anywhere from 3 days to a week before you start PMing me about your comission. I am a full time mother of two toddlers, I run The Gaian Parents Guild, and I also have LOTS of other things going on at any given time, so sometimes comissions may take me a bit longer than expected. Please be patient with me. This is also the reason that I will only accept 5 customers at a time.

~About pricing and reliability~

Also, I don't have any set prices for lineart, only base minimums. I am going to leave it up to you to negotiate a FAIR price with me over your pic. But please don't embarrass yourself by making an obviously unacceptable offer. And do bear in mind that these are pictures I am actually taking real time out of my day to draw for you. All payments MUST be made up front. No negotiating on that. If you are worried that I may scam you, please ask ANYONE who knows me and they'll vouch for my honesty. I own a HUGE guild (The Gaian Parents Guild) as well, so it's not like I'm some scammer's mule account waiting to take people's gold and run.

~About me displaying the lineart I draw for you~

As the artist, I reserve the right to display your picture on my website, Deviant Art Site, here on Gaia, or anywhere else I wish to. This is a very common practice that most artists do. So if you have a problem with me displaying your picture, then you may want to look for another artist to comission.

~About coloring and giving me credit for my lineart~

~EDIT on 10-18-04~ After I send the artwork to you, you may do with it as you wish. You paid for it, so it is yours. All I ask is that you give me proper credit for my work wherever you display it. If you wanna post it on your website, that's fine! Just make sure you include something like, "Lineart by BadLoki" or something. You can color it, have someone else color it, it doesn't matter to me. Just leave my signature in tact and give me credit for my lineart, and we're cool. If I find that anyone has NOT given my credit or removed (cropped out) my signature, then we're not cool.

~About putting my lineart into your Gaia sigs~

If you wanna put your image into your sigs here on Gaia, that's fine. And I understand that it has to fit height and width requirements. So in these cases, you may have to crop/resize the picture, which may include cropping out my signature. If this happens, just PLEASE note in some other way, that that lineart is by me. However, cropping my signature out is ONLY acceptable for sig uses here on Gaia! There's no excuse for cropping anything out when displaying on other websites or other places like Deviant Art and etc.</center>

Right now, I am starting off by making custom bumps. In the future, I will also do wish lists, signatures, and banners. But for now, ONLY custom bumps!

~Samples and Prices!~

Here are some samples and prices of the kinds of bumps I will make.</center>
  • Small Text Bump : $ 450g and up
  • Small Avatar Head Bump : $ 650g and up
    **You will need to provide me with a screen cap of the avatar's head (from the inventory/profile page) that you want me to use.**
  • Large Avatar Full Body Bump : $ 875g and up
    **You will need to provide me with a screen cap of the avatar (from the inventory/profile page) that you want me to use.**


<center>~General Info about my Custom Graphics!~

I have only listed basic starting prices. The more complicated the graphic, the more expensive it will be. I will accept items in addition to, or instead of gold. But the item's worth must cover the cost of the graphic as I have it listed.

I can do many different colors and variations of these bumps. If you don't specify a color scheme, then I will choose one. If you don't specify any other text, then "Bump!" will be used. Not all custom bumps will look EXACTLY like my samples (as I make each one individually), but they will be VERY close! Also, my samples are shown at a larger size than the actual bumps will be. I used large samples, so you could see the detail.

My name will also be on every graphic I make (don't worry, it's small). Do not remove it!! If I see one of my graphics that has had my named removed from it, you will be black listed here and reported to a Mod for art theft (which you can be banned for).

  • When will you do color avatar art again?
    Undetermined.

  • Will you PLEASE, pretty PLEASE do a free pic for me?
    No. Do not even bother asking.

  • Will you accept items instead of (or in addition to) gold for your payment?
    Yes, but it depends on what the item is. That will be determined on a case-by-case situation.

  • What are items you like?
    Please look a bit further below for that answer!

  • Can I haggle prices with you?
    For lineart and custom graphics, I have listed my base prices. That is the MINIMUM of what I expect as payment! You CANNOT pay less than that. So haggling to go lower is insulting and pointless. However, the more complex the art is, the more expensive it will be. So to determine a fair price for more complex art, you and I will have to discuss it and come to an agreement. But be smart. If you know you're ordering something complex, then be cool about it, and offer me a decent payment.

  • Can I pay half now and half later? Can I pay AFTER I get my picture?
    No and no. I require that EVERYONE (no exceptions) pay me the full amount of gold/items up front.

  • What if I don't like my picture?
    You will have to politely discuss that with me via PM if that happens.

  • Can you teach me to draw and/or color?
    Sorry, but no. I simply do not have the time nor resourses to do such a thing.

  • Will I get to see my pic before it's done?
    Yes.
    FOR AVATER ART: I will let you see the sketch before I ink it so you have the opportunity to make any last minute changes to it. Bear in mind, however, that I am working from the screen cap YOU provided. I will not add extra things in after the fact, nor will I make super-huge major changes. By "last minute changes", I mean if I really forgot some item in your screen cap or if you'd like that hand to be different, etc. I will NOT change the entire pose or add anything that is not included in your screen cap. It is YOUR responsibility to provide me with a good, accurate screen cap for reference.
    FOR CUSTOM GRAPHICS: I will send you a preliminary sample. You'll view it, if I made no mistakes, I will send you the full version. If I made some mistake, then I'll go back and correct it, and THEN send you the full version.

  • Will you draw me a non-avatar picture?
    No. This shop is specifically for avatar pin-up style comissions and custom graphics. I will NOT draw your favorite anime character or anything like that. So please don't ask. I will ONLY draw Gaia avatars!! However, in your custom graphic, I can pretty much put anything from my picture archives.

  • Will you draw my avatar making TEH SEXXORZZZ ZOMG!!??11??
    NO! Do not even ask! I will do NO adult type comissions of avatars (no nudity AT ALL). Period. There are WAY too many underaged kids on this site, and I have no way of ensuring that the person ordering a pic from me isn't really some 12 year old pretending to be 19. So no... and NNNNNOOOOOOO!

  • Will you make me a "naughty" custom graphic?
    See answer to previous question, please!

  • Is this it for the FAQ?

I like to let my customers decide what they are willing to pay. So, if you are interested, please look at my examples and make me an offer. I would like to think I should get competitive offers though. I do put a lot of effort into my art and (unless something comes up) I am pretty fast. I would like to at least make a good/fair amount of gold off of my art though. 3nodding
