Welcome to the Farland Clinic! Please make yourself comfortabel and enjoy your stay. Here you can have a completly unique child of your own! Though there is one minor difference. Your child will have axtra DNA mixed in, and there for will ahve axtra atributed that would not be normaly found in a human child! This DNA is kept in vials untill you are ready to start your pregnancy.

Hopefully i will be abel to answer any questions you ask, and hopefully be abel to make you happy with your new baby, who knows, you might ven get twins!

Q. What is this Shop?
A. This shop is a "pet" shop, were your avatars can have a child, blending in the DNA of an animal, to out with a unique child that will grow up and eventualy be able to have a family of their own.

Q. Animals!! EWW!! So they would have like a half human thing?!?
A. Furries (or, for a more correct term, Anthromorphs), are around 50% animal, 50% humanoid. The children that are produced from this shop are anywhere between 10% to 25% animal. Think cat/dog/bunnygirls from anime/manga, and you have a good idea of what is produced.

Q. So, if i get a lizard vial can i get a dragon from it?
A. No, mythical creatures are reserved for special auctions and sales. Only common animals (the ones you find in the Real World) can be produced from a normal vial. So if you get (for example) a bird vial, you can't get a pheonix, though you can get any common songbird type you can think of.

Q. Wait, if i get a bird vial why cant i get a hawk, why are there seperate vials if they are both birds?
A. "Bird" vials contain the DNA of songbirds and (mostly) non-aggressive birds such as parrots and doves. "Bord of Prey" vials contain the birds that hunt aggressively or are known to kill or scavange, such as the eagle, hawk, vulture, or kingfisher. The same rule aplies to housecats and wild cats, domesticated dogs and wolves, and other species that have two or more distinct versions.

Q. Can i use my personal characters instead of my avatar?
A. Yes, OCs are allowed, provided they have an extensive background, can easily be drawn, and conform to Rule 10. As an example, you cannot be a half-dragon paragon demigod.

Q. Do i need a boyfiend/girlfriend or husband/wife?
A. No. Single parents can have children just like everyone else. The only requirement is for someone else to be willing to donate their DNA for insemination (think: sperm banks).

Q. Can F/F and M/M have babies?
A. Yes. There are no restrictions on same-sex couples.

Q. Can i use a cosplay character for the vial i got?
A. Specific characters are not allowed. Unless you want your avatar to just DRESS like said character, you cannot BE that character, nor be from that setting.

Q. I got a vial, can i exchange it for a different vial?

A. No, sorry. Flatsales are final. You can, however, change the animal type from the vial (iguana to gecko for a lizard vial), provided work has not started on the art, and prior approval of the shop owner/artist is needed.

Q. I have this pet from another petshop, but its also one of my main RP characters? Can i use it here?
A. No. As a Gaia rule, pets from one petshop cannot be used in other petshops.

Q. How much for one in a flatsale?
A. An average of 10k, but it depends on each flatsale.

Q. WIll they be prompt or speed flatsales?
A. Prompt. Speed flatsales are unfair to people with slower connections. And because these are "journal pets", a good measure of how well the parent or parents roleplay is required.

Q. Can i have Twins?
A. Yes. The chances of having twins are, on average, 50%. Some animals have a higher chance at having twins, such as cats. Some animals have a far lower chance at twins, like giant pandas.
A solo customer who uses two characters for an appointment, rather than a two customers who are a couple, should expect only one child.
If someone has an animal that has an extremely rare chance at getting twins, such as a whale, those twins may be related to the plot.

Q. Can i color my own?
A. Prior authorization of the owner is required. But the usual answer is no.

Q. Can i do a guest auction? Plllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaase?
A. No, all guest auctions are chosen by the owner.

Q. Can i wait till the end of an auction and make a high bid to win (sniping)?
A. No, There will be a half an hour added to the auction after the last bid.

Q. You chose me for a guest auction, what now?
A. Get ready for the auction, remember 1/3rd of the auction proceeds gets sent to me, make sure to send the colored pictures to be for re-sizeing and tagging, and run ideas by be first.

Q. Aww, i get it, can i have one?
A. Sure, if you get a Flatsale or Auction.

2 ) No drama. Intershop drama or otherwise. This includes Begging
3 ) If you attempt to bribe and I do not accept for various reasons, Do not take it personally. It's either the offer was not enough for me to take on the extra work, or I already had to much to deal with, be it RL or online.
4 ) Please do not post links to other shops in my thread, thats just rude, unless you have permission to do so. One example of "ok" linking is affiliating (after permission is given).
5 ) Only post in other people's journals if you are staff or have been asked to.
6 ) Be nice. Read Rule 2. Have fun.
7 ) Complaints should be taken up with the shop staff. Again, read Rule 2.
8 ) Your pet/pets may be taken away if you are blacklisted or have proven yourself to be an unfit parent. This includes abandoning them, abusing them, or anything else that would make a social worker cringe.
9 ) All RP happens right here in this clinic in this world. You may not make up worlds or settings to fit your appointment. You may not be a king or queen, you may not be an alien robot from the future, you may not be anything except your normal avatar. Exceptions are made for A) previously established appointments, and B) those who can give a REALLY good reason.
10 ) This shop is RP-required. Posting in your journal once every two weeks is required at minimum. Less than this, and your journal will be locked until you provide sufficient evidence of activity in the thread. Absense longer than a few months may result in your blacklisting or your pets being taken away.

Having taken a vested interest in the DNA binding process that the clinic uses, she was eventually trained and hired as a doctor of the clinic (though not a certified MD) to assist in the development of new children.

Pregnancy: Minimum 3 weeks

This is the first stage, and is very crucial to your baby, what you surround yourself with in this time will affect your childs personality, and the amount of energy you surround your baby with will affect its growth. If you laze about your child will take longer to develope, if you are up and going, active, and surround your child with posotive energy they will grow faster.

Infant: Minimum 4 weeks.

This step is when your child is developing its mental and motor skills. If your child is not stimulated enough it will not be as inteligant, strong, or swift when growing, and will set your childs development rate. ( How swiftly their inteligence will grow later in life, and how quickly their phisical abilitys will grow ). They are completly dependant, cannot walk, and are still learning to crawl. The can do baby gurgels but cannot speak, and need to be fed and taken care of by you just like a normal baby.

Young Child: Minimum 5 weeks.

Your child can speak, but do not think like adults. Their thoughts are mostly around children things... wich ball to play with, how can i get some more candy, thigs like that 4laugh They can walk, but are still rather awkward, and have maintained their baby chubbyness. Their are inocent and rather silly. They cannot have crushes, and are still obsessed with the theory of "coodys". They still need you, cannot live on their own, and need their parents with them or another fully grown adults.

Child: Minimum 6 weeks

This stage they are getting a littel older, think elementary school. They are the at the end of the "ewwww... cooties!! " part of their life. They run and play, and are what we typicaly consider "children". Obsessed with things like icecream and the newest toys, but are still old enough to plot how to glue their sleeping friends to a desk. >:3

Teenager: Minimum 7 weeks.

OMG MOODYNESS!! You child is now a teenager, and can develop crushes. They still would like to be withtheir parents, but no longer need you with them all the time, and are often moody and overreactive. Some of the braver ones have even managed to sneek a kiss or to. They have a need for independace, yet still crave attention, so, that makes them sometimes difficult to handel. Remember, this is a YOUNG TEENAGER stage, early teens.

Youth:
Minimum: 8 weeks

This is like the later teens of their lives, like around 17-18. Are almost indipendant, but still are hard-headed enough to need you around. They tend to be rebelious, though some are not, and many have a tendancy to take on odd phases at this time... because this is just that particular time in life. They are trying to figure out what they want in a boyfriend/girlfriend, and even if they dont know completly what they way, they are still going to do what they feel like, regardless if you ground them or they upset you. >.<

Young Adult:
Minimum: 9 weeks.

They are pretty much o their own, but they are not completly mature. They CAN start families, but their own parents would probably want them to wait. They are like in their latest teens, or early twenties. They might want to move out on their own, but even if they stay with you, they are their own adults now, and you no-longer make the desisions for them.
